This ACCEL Points Eliminator Kit converts supported GM single and dual points distributors from high-maintenance mechanical points to electronic triggering. It uses specialized electronic circuitry and an infrared signal.

The system stabilizes ignition timing from 1 to 10,000 RPM while reducing maintenance associated with point ignition systems. ACCEL also notes improved performance and fuel efficiency from the electronic conversion.
