Product Description

Bilstein B8 8100 Bypass is a direct-fit, position-sensitive shock absorber for light trucks and SUVs that need more damping control than a standard smooth-body shock. Its motorsports-inspired external bypass design gives the suspension a more tunable response across changing terrain and suspension movement.

The dual-tube bypass layout provides independent compression and rebound adjustment through incremental flow adjusters, allowing precise changes in damping force. A 60mm hard-anodized aluminum piston, monotube internal design, and remote reservoir support consistent control over rough surfaces, longer travel events, and extended off-road use. The direct-fit layout keeps the upgrade tied to production mounting architecture.

This SKU is a rear left shock absorber; do not substitute it for the opposite side. Rear coil spring conversion is required for some listed applications.
