Product Description

This Borgeson telescopic steel steering shaft is built for 1976-1986 Jeep CJ power steering applications. It connects the factory column to the steering box and uses a heavy-duty telescopic steel design with a 13/16 in diameter.

For CJ owners running body lifts, oversized tires, or worn factory steering parts, this shaft helps restore tighter and more responsive steering. The complete shaft includes a universal joint and is specified for power steering applications with no welding required.

The shaft is made in the USA and backed by a limited 5 year or 50,000 mile warranty. Borgeson describes the assembly as easy to install with common hand tools, making it a direct steering upgrade for 1976-1983 CJ5 and 1976-1986 CJ7 models.
