Product Description

The TCI Breakaway 240900 is an 11 in non-lock-up torque converter for GM TH350 and TH400 transmissions. It combines a 2200 to 2400 RPM stall range, furnace-brazed fins, needle bearings, a hardened pre-ground pump hub, computer balancing, and a dual bolt pattern for moderately modified street and weekend race applications.

The Breakaway is built as a first serious step into high performance for street machines that still see daily use. It improves low-end power, helps the vehicle launch harder at wide open throttle, and maintains highway cruising efficiency without requiring modifications for installation.

This converter is balanced, uses a non-lock-up style, and does not include an anti-ballooning plate. Furnace-brazed fins, needle bearings, and the hardened hub support durability, while the bolt-in design reduces install complexity. Warranty coverage is limited to 30 days for racing use and 90 days for street or strip use.
