This thermostat is designed as a direct-fit replacement for your aged factory unit. The Mishimoto thermostat has a higher activation temperature compared to the factory thermostat. The higher activation temperature restricts coolant flow longer to allow a quicker engine warm-up, making this thermostat ideal for use in cold climates. The CNC machined 6061 aluminum housing will provide a proper seal and will not rust over time.Mishimoto provides free replacement for accidental damages, basically if you are in an accident and your mishimoto part is damaged, they will replace it free of charge when you provide pictures and a police report.
