The Edelbrock 8059 is a 12V hot-idle compensator kit for Edelbrock AVS2, Performer and Thunder Series AVS square-bore carburetors. The solenoid is designed to maintain the selected idle speed when the air-conditioning compressor is operating.

The Edelbrock 8059 idle compensator kit is specified with 12V, Solenoid / Bracket, Cadmium / Zinc Oxide, and Edelbrock Performer / Thunder AVS Carburetors.
Installation and Setup
The solenoid plunger extends when the air conditioning is switched on and can be adjusted in or out to set the compensated idle speed. After the air conditioning is switched on, the throttle must be operated once for the plunger to engage the throttle lever.
